Recommendations letters are positive endorsements of attributes written from the perspective of someone who has firsthand experience working with that individual. Recommendations come from a variety of sources, including former employers, teachers and co-workers. In the case of this behavior specialist recommendation letter, the endorsement comes following a recently completed internship. Regardless of the source, the format is what you see here.

Felicity Weeks,
I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Alvera Landon, who recently concluded a behavior specialist internship at The Kline Clinic. I want to enthusiastically recommend Ms. Landon for the available position at the Stein Institute. She is extremely conscientious, hardworking, punctual and engaging.
During her time with us, Ms. Landon displayed an impressive ability to interact with patients. In one instance, she helped a deaf child in our program to relax to the point where the required tests could be safely conducted. In another instance, Alvera skillfully and successfully assisted one of our specialists in efforts to calm down an elderly patient.
Alvera proved to be a fast learner. She consistently arrived early for her scheduled shifts and remained on-site beyond her shift on several occasions without being asked to do so. Alvera always participated in staff meetings, took notes and offered useful input. I think you will be as pleased to have Ms. Landon on your staff as we were to have her at our clinic during her internship with us.
Sincerely,
Dr. Roberta Kline
