Assisted the company welder in day to day activities including grinding, buffering, moving pipes, keeping the shop clean of clutter for a safe working environment, and anything else that was asked of me. Worked with the field crew to set tank bases, lower tanks into position while making sure it remained at a level surface, installation of tank plumping and tank batteries.
This was an Internship where I came in to the Corporate Office of Tulsa Inspection Resources and learned the In's and Outs of the business side of pipeline inspection.
Worked at the Cushing Terminal where I was in charge of general maintenance and upkeep of the grounds, which included mowing, weed-eating, painting, cleaning out the shop, and just anything that I was asked to do. I was also taught how to check the tank valves, gages, and batteries with the guidance of my supervisor.
