Graduate Research AssistantUniversity of Texas at El Paso – 500 W University Ave., El Paso, TX 79902 Analyzed water for pH,
conductivity, and silica. Ran pilot system
consisting of electrodialysis membranes that are powered through solar
panels. Assembled and
disassembled pilot system. Project translator, communicated/wrote project goals to collaborators in Honduras.

Graduate Research AssistantUniversity of Texas at El Paso – 500 W University Ave., El Paso, TX 79902 Analyzed wastewater plant average monthly data: flowrates, constituents, total oxygen demand,
cost analysis. Ran ammonia recovery
pilot utilizing two membrane contactors in series: performed pump priming,
pressure drop measurements, chemical transfer, and sample collection in the
belt press building. Sampled were analyzed for ammonia as nitrogen using a High
Performance ammonia Orion probe, pH and conductivity. Conducted cost analysis
based on ammonia recovery, ammonia transformed into fertilizer, and total
oxygen reduction in the aerobic process.
