Vice President: Long Term Care Division Houghton Mifflin Co South Burlington, VT,
  • As the Vice President of the Long Term Care Division, I operate the largest skilled nursing facility in the state of Georgia (388 certified beds). I ensure compliance is maintained with both CMS long term care standards, as well as standards set by the Joint Commission and their accreditation process for hospitals. I am responsible for operational rounding at Grady Hospital's intensive care unit floors, as well as both acute care for the elderly floors. I am responsible for both our dietary and housekeeping contracts, and currently manage both accounts at Crestview.

11/2018 to 03/2021
Administrator Houghton Mifflin Co Orlando, FL,
  • As the administrator at Bonterra I was tasked with ensuring a smooth, and productive, flow of facility operations. Outside of ensuring operational standards were met, I worked closely with the Wellington corporate board of directors for budgeting, as well as other planning/ cost projection assignments. Our annual survey went well with only 2 deficiencies total being cited during my tenure, which is well below the national average. My team and I worked very diligently to keep up with the changing regulatory landscape as the COVID-19 pandemic started during my tenure at Bonterra.
  • Developed innovative strategies to establish best practices, promoting profitability.
  • Identified areas for improvement, narrowing focus for decision-makers in making necessary changes.
03/2013 to 11/2018
Administrator PruittHealth City, STATE,
  • During my tenure at PruittHealth, I worked in several different buildings as the administrator. Please see highlights from the different buildings I managed during my tenure.
  • As the administrator of PruittHealth-West Atlanta, I oversaw total operation of this healthcare facility. As acting administrator, I was able to lead the staff of this healthcare facility to successful survey outcomes during both state surveys I have served as administrator. As Administrator at PruittHealth-West Atlanta, I was able to lead the team to a deficiency free annual survey in June of 2017.
  • As the administrator of PruittHealth-Monroe I oversaw total operation of this healthcare facility. As acting administrator, I was able to lead the staff of this healthcare facility to successful survey outcomes. The facility was “tagged” with fewer deficiencies than both the national and state average during both of the annual surveys administered during my tenure. Additionally, I personally handled all facility grievances and state reportables at Monroe. During my time as administrator, our staff net promoter score has rose over 25%, our turnover rate decreased 40%, and we exceeded our census projections.
  • As the assistant administrator at PruittHealth-Decatur, I was tasked with assisting this facility to reach performance goals to ultimately have a quality survey. I worked along with the facility administrator to ensure proper staffing and professionalism through the entire day. I often worked the 2nd and 3rd shifts to ensure proper management during off hours. With the new environment I assisted in creating at this facility, this facility went on to have a deficiency free survey during my tenure.
  • I performed duties at the Oaks at Limestone as Administrator-in-Training. The knowledge I gained at The Oaks at Limestone vastly contributed to my competency in the field of geriatrics, and also propelled me to gain my Nursing Home Administrators License in the state of Georgia. Learning competencies during my administrator-in-training stay include, but are not limited, personnel policies and procedures and review of pertinent information, computer software, and administration procedures in the following departments; human resources, admissions, nursing, business office, MDS, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, activities, laundry, and administration.
