Education
Expected in
GED:
Cuyahoga Community College - Cleveland, OH
GPA:

My health was very unstable until I was about 24 years old. Due to my health I was never able to finish High-school properly thus never received my diploma. My family decided that due to my previous work experience a diploma wasn't a priority. My health was the main concern and since I had my future laid out for me getting my GED was my best option.

I took the test on a whim without studying and got a 2940 which boils down to a 3.0 GPA. If I had studied I know I would have gotten a 4.0

Accomplishments

I was the Virginia Sickle Cell Awareness Program's ( VASCAP ) Sickle cell poster child for two years in a row in 92 and 93. In 93 I participated as a Sickle cell patient advocate in Health Security Express, Hilary Clinton's push for Universal Healthcare. I have been advocating for Sickle cell Patient rights ever since. I have represented Sickle cell at the State and Federal level including DHHS, FDA, and the Office of the Health Secretary.
