Summary

As a Senior Conflict Resolution Specialist, I support the Agency’s strategic initiative of promoting a culture that values diversity and practice inclusion through education and conflict resolution services. In my position, I conduct teambuilding workshops, organizational and personality assessments, change management, and facilitation of multi-stakeholder workgroups. I have conducted workshops and presentations on communications, conflict management, leadership development, unconscious bias, workplace relations and inclusive leadership. The workshops and presentations were conducted using technology platforms such as SABA, Skype, Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

I collaborated with members of my workgroup to design and deliver through SABA over 20 Leading and Learning Crucial Conversation training sessions for over 200 managers. The training was designed to help manager address and navigate cultural issues regarding race, justice, and equality all of which were impacting the workplace environment. Both audio and visual techniques were used throughout the training. In my position as Senior Conflict Resolution, I speak and communicate to a wide audience which often includes IRS Executives. I am comfortable speaking in front of an audience and practice good listening skills when engaging with others. I am flexible and patient and can stimulate interactions with others without bias thus creating an environment/space where all are free to be their unique self. I have natural gift for providing structure to discussions such as communicating objectives, setting time I boundaries, and asking questions to stimulate deeper conversations without giving my opinion. I believe that I should be selected for this collateral assignment because I possess the experience, education and skills required to learn and teach the Crucial Conversation model to others. Furthermore, it’s my life mission serve as an educator, facilitator, mediator, and coach who impart knowledge with enthusiasm that inspires, motivate, and empowers others to want to be continuous learners.
