Was consultant for the Anti/Human Trafficking programs in 11 northeastern states & PR. Launched training for key personnel in specific geographical areas. Organized a task force for the same geographical areas.
Spearhead the organization's Eastern PA and DE Social Services Programs, which included, but was not limited to, government contracts, shelter & feeding programs. Instituted a Social Services program audit process. Identified and hired a Social Services Contract Analyst. Sent to troubleshoot in various social services locations to troubleshoot concerns between organization at the grassroots level and community and or government agencies.
Gap in service was due to an interim position in the corporate office for succession into this position upon retirement of predecessor.
The Salvation Army Disaster Services Chaplaincy is called Emotional & Spiritual Care (ESC). Spearheaded an eleven state ESC Task Force. Helped write foundational ESC training course. Increased ESC personnel via implementing resumes. Consulted on leading ESC teams to UT for the Crandall Mining Disaster as well as for ComAir Lexington, KY crash site.
Instrumental in strengthening the organization's Human Resources Department in their NJ regional office.
Completed 100 Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) class hours and 400 hospital practicum hours for Chaplaincy Certification.
Served as ESC Team Leader within the Hurricane Katrina Incident Command in Biloxi, MS
All moves within The Salvation Army are due to organizational transfers. September 11 happened while appointed to Pittsburgh. Was instrumental in providing Crisis Counseling support to first responders and family members in Shanksville, PA after the 9/11 crash. Interviewed for the Oral History at the Shanksville Memorial Site.
