Since 2010 I have been in involved in almost every aspect of the transportation industry. I started my transportation career in sales in Northern CA. I was offered an opportunity in Seattle to become the operations coordinator for my company working with Hawaii and Alaska where I managed the freight and paperwork from the origin to the destination. This includes the pricing/rating and customer service legwork.
After the company merged with a competitor, I left to become a terminal manager for a trucking, warehousing and transloading facility where I manage the day to day operations of the facility, trucking and brokerage aspects of the business.
I manage the day to day operations of the terminal including the warehouse, trucking and brokerage aspects of the business. Currently I oversee 7 employees. In addition:
I managed all aspects of freight from its origin to destination including but not limited to managing paperwork, rating shipments, and customer service. Also, I was the load planner for all of the ocean going containers that we would sail weekly out of Seattle. I was responsible for making sure we were profitable on every container that we shipped.
