Accomplishments
  • In 1996-1997 I played a key role in the opening of MacGregor's in Syracuse, NY. I helped with the construction of the building, reviewed applications, responded to inquiries pertaining to available jobs, interviewed applicants, helped with decision making about the layout of dining room and bar. I efficiently assisted with the operations of the restaurant and bar for the first year of operations.
  • In July of 2001 I started working at the Victor Grill and Pub which was a semi fine dining restaurant. After about 8 months of managing, the owners decided to change the style of restaurant from semi fine dining to a bar/pub style restaurant. I played a key role in the change over from the semi fine dining to a bar/pub called the Thirsty Turtle. I had many responsibilities, some of these responsibilities were to return all the really expensive wines, changed out the shiny silverware, switched the decor from fine dining to pub style with neon mirrors, high top tables and chairs, dart boards, pool tables and changed the floor plan. I also had to train employees for the front and back of the house.

I was involved in the construction, hiring, interior design and layout of the restaurant, and managed the front and back of the house for about a year.
