Spring, 2012: Attended Kang Chiao Bilingual School in Taipei for spring break week.
Summer 2014: I help create a study abroad program in Peru, and went to Peru for two weeks, our purpose was to help the native tribes as well as enrich in Spanish Culture.
I have traveled to China, Taiwan, all of Central America, Uruguay, Peru, and around the United States.
I was adopted from China when I was 18 months, and therefore I have expressed interest in Asian culture. Currently I am a freshman at Randolph Macon College and I plant to double Major in Asian Studies and International Relations as well as minor in Chinese.
Traveling: I have traveled around in China and Taiwan, all of Central America, Uruguay and Peru and around the US.
Studying Abroad: My first study abroad experience was in 5th grade in El Salvador. Other places I have studied in, Taiwan, Peru and this January, it will be China.
Languages: I attended a Spanish Immersion school from Kindergarten-8th grade, I continued taking Spanish all the way through High School. I am fluent in Spanish, and currently I am working on my third language, Chinese.
Charity/Philanthropy: I have been active with clubs such as, Habitat for Humanity, Water Brigades, Clothes Closet through, currently I am working with Casa for Children through my sorority.

Summer, 2012: STARTALK Chinese Academy, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond. The STARTALK program is a federally-funded program similar to The Governor's Foreign Language Academies. It is a National Security Language Initiative program for strategically important world languages. I was recommended by my high school, Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, for the highly-competitive program. I successfully completed the upper level of two levels in the intensive, three-week residential Chinese immersion program.
