Summary
As a Supervisor for the Sexual Assault Victim Assistance program, I provide 24 hour response, advocacy and counseling to sexual assault victims who were victimized and or have a case prosecuted in all of Orange County along with my staff.  I have worked approximately 8 years with CSP, specifically with survivors of sexual assault. I began working at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office in the Sexual Assault Unit as a Victim’s advocate working with sexual assault victims of all ages, law enforcement investigating such cases, social service agencies, the Orange County District Attorneys prosecuting these cases, and a variety of court personnel. I participate twice a year presenting at the only State Rape Crisis Counselor training in Orange County. I am also part of the Orange County Crisis Response Team and assist on an on-call basis during and after work hours providing support to victims of various crimes immediately after the crime has occurred at the request of law enforcement. In addition, I am responsible for all our quarterly county SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) meetings as well as co-manage Project HER Heal. Engage. Respond. -a program designed to provide counseling and support for women veteran survivors of military sexual trauma and the first sexual assault program for women veterans in Orange County.

Supervise 5 Victim Sexual Assault Victim Advocates in 3 different Orange County District Attorney's office works sites for the Orange County Rape Crisis Center Working as a crisis counselor/victim advocate II for sexual assault victims and their families as required to mitigate the impact of the victimization and/or the case investigation and court appearance Responsible for responding to victims of sexual assault both on the national RAIIN hotline and at the hospital or CAST for sexual assault forensic exams 24 hours a day. I provide victim services including but not limited to, crisis intervention, emergency financial assistance/relocation, assistance with Victim's of Crime Compensation Applications, therapy referrals, court support, victim's rights information, community resources, u-visas and various referrals while working in partnership with law enforcement, social services, forensic nurses, educational institutions and the District Attorney's Office. I properly maintain current contact information for sexual assault victims providing court updates while being a liaison for them and those handling their cases.

Aside from the Sexual Assault victim Services, I am part of the Orange County Crisis Response Team assisting victims of various crime related trauma's on an on-call basis providing similar services but geared to victims of different crimes in all of Orange County: homicides, child abuse, domestic violence, suicides, etc.
