Research work and Projects
  • Published a research paper on Human Pose-Estimation and low-cost Interpolation Text to Indian Sign Language which compares and uses regression models to extract and store 2D pose information of signs and enhanced it to improve accuracy by predicting missing joints using linear interpolation. (IEEE Confluence- 2021)
  • Built a Speech to Indian Sign Language translation medium using 3D Pose Estimation for creating synthetic 3D MoCap data. Created the first ISL motion capture database. Employed recursive regression techniques to detect 3D body and hand poses simultaneously from the input 2D videos. Integrated output with SMPL parametric model to obtain a mesh in .fbx format compatible with blender. Designed a frontend to convert text/ speech to sign language using NLP for the grammatical conversions.
  • Built a Framework to recognize Indian Sign Language fingerspelling using Image segmentation and CNN. Created a 3000 ISL alphabet signs image dataset. Performed Hand-segmentation and created a CNN model with accuracy surpassing VGG16. Presented study of existing methods of classification and why the chosen model fits best.
  • Built a Blood Vessel Segmentation in fundus images for detection of proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy. Demonstrated how LadderNet can be viewed as an ensemble of FCNs, and validated its superior performance on blood vessel segmentation in retinal images. A novel preprocessing flow which dramatically improves the performance in segmenting the blood vessels from the fundus images. Achieved an AUC-ROC of 0.981297 which surpasses previous works. The entire code and report is released in GitHub.
  • Built a Cognitive (AI led) Categorization of Driver Stops - Machine Learning as a freelancer. Unsupervised learning was used on data, electric vehicle (two-wheeler), with GPS location fired every few seconds of delivery agents of a company, to analyze and categorize stops as hubs, driver location, illegal stops and delivery locations using clustering and reinforced it with location description extracted using Google Places APIs.
  • Web Development Scraped course details from various domains offering online courses and created a custom database on SQL. A Web Page was created using HTML, CSS, JS, XML for suggesting courses to users based on their domain preferences using keyword matching and enabling them to be able to compare prices, course structures, ratings and reviews.
  • Finding a nuclei in divergent images. Kaggle Data science Bowl 2018. Automated the generation of image masks using U-Net.
