  • Observe, assess and monitor patients condition, and identify serious situations; notify physician, implement nursing preplanned protocols in the absence of a physician.
  • Coordinate with physicians to perform complex bedside procedures such as vascular line insertions, intravenous injections, and incision and drainage.
  • Provide comprehensive and direct patient care with an emphasis on meeting and exceeding both the physical and emotional needs of patients; implement plan of care; provide patient/family teaching.
  • Utilize attention to detail when documenting and updating patient records, nurse's notes, and when engaging other members of the intradisciplinary team.
