Aldar Academy is an Non-Profit/ Non-Public School meeting the needs of At-Risk Emotionally Disturbed, Behaviorally Challenged, and Learning Disabled students from K-12. Many students have ankle monitors and Probation Officers. I taught all subjects on the Secondary level Diploma Tract including Art as an Elective.
Gunn Junior High School is a Title One school meeting the needs of an economically challenged demographic. I taught core academics and co-taught Science and English in an inclusion classroom setting.
I worked as a Special Education Teacher, Secondary Level, Mild to Moderate/ LD classroom. I was recruited and offered a position as I achieved my Alternative Credentials at the Region XI Educational Service Center in Fort Worth ,TX. I was awarded Teacher of the Year and honored with The Extra Mile Award by MISD.
I was in full time ministry , both in the US and abroad, from 1983-1997. I worked with adults and youth in Dundee, Scotland, Sacramento, CA, Newport, RI along with stints in India and Germany.
I am a trained muralist and have painted professionally foe numerous design firms and have done design work for D.R.Horton Home Builders Western Divison out of Fort Worth, TX from 1997-2011.
Both of these areas of skill and talent are brought to bear in my ability to educate effectively in the school setting.
