Marketing/PR committee member, 08/2015 Current Camp Kesem NC State Raleigh, NC Camp Kesem is a week-long camp dedicated to supporting and helping kids whose parents have been touched by cancer. Fun-filled events at camp allow the kids to just be kids and to connect with people who understand exactly what they're going through. As a member of the Marketing/PR committee, I work on spreading the word about Camp via Facebook. I am also working on a promotional video that includes other Camp Kesem members explaining #WhyIKesem. National Spanish Honor Society President, 04/2014 05/2015 Green Hope High School Cary, NC President of our school's chapter of the National Spanish Honor Society. Led organization of 50 students. Organized food and clothing drives, volunteer events in the Spanish-speaking community including cultural events (Dia de Los Muertos, La Noche Cultural, Christmas Carol singing at nursing home) and service events such as municipal clean-ups. Ensured that all members of society tutored other students struggling in Spanish at least twelve hours. Varsity Women's Soccer Team captain, 11/2014 05/2015 Green Hope High School Cary, NC Member of the Varsity Women's soccer team at Green Hope High School for four years. Recipient of Most Valuable Newcomer Award in 2012. Played in and won the 4A-State Championship in 2013. Recognized as All-Conference Player in 2014 by all coaches in conference. Recipient of Most Valuable Player Award in 2015. Team captain in 2015.
