I have great experience in this position 6days a week, 40hrs a day, worked with adult mentally ill patients at a day treatment program and worked with behavioral health technicians who were assist with daily living skills with the individuals. I had to show a structured facility for all and to maintain all equipment in updating the safety measures in the facilities. I had worked closely with patients one on one and group sessions daily to maintain their needs on what their diagnosis are. The main priority was to have good customer service and professionally working in the office to maintain all the documents needed by different department that require programs operations. I had always focus on the patients and staffs safety environment daily. I am aware of protocol, MSD, Fire Drills, Emergency Evacuations, had security cameras checked to make sure it operating good, locking up chemicals, medications, patients binders and reporting incident reports. I had also manage staffs timesheets, evaluations, file trainings that are completed and request other things from our main corporate office. I have experience in operating a computer, scanners, emails, xerox machines, downloading, answering phone calls and taking messages in appropriate manner. I had a lot responsibilities as a manager and had also maintain the company vehicles in good maintenance and update the registrations, etc. So as a manager i had to supervise a lot, report and work as a team daily.
I had worked as a counselor/ Advocating for patients and got a lot of experience as I started working with counselors with license degree, case managers with degrees, Psychiatrist M.D, Pharmaceutical, Social Workers, Nurses, Dieticians, and Law enforcements. I went through a lot of trainings to get more knowledge related to my job duties and very much know a lot on MSD codes. The program focused on clients diagnoses and to teach them daily living skills. Working with clients with different diagnosis was a challenging position but enjoy working with clients. I had a lot of passion working with them, respected them, had to know their surroundings, families, health, medications, their primary doctors, follow through with them on tele-conference, know their treatment plans, assessments, determine if they need to be referred to another outpatient facility that is locate out of their area to get good treatment and stabilize their medications. Clients with Schizophrenia's were very challenging and some we had to loose them, due to their symptoms they have. I closely worked with my clients on how to avoid substance abuse, Cannabis, other drugs which don't combine with their psychotic medications and did case staffing for clients. Adolescent clients I had worked with as well and were very challenging with them. I had collected CEUs from attending training all over in New Mexico and local areas. The program closed due to Covid and we had to place all our clients in other places because some didn't have a place to stay and needed close supervision in a facilities.
I had experience working with mentally ill clients with different diagnosis. I had went on trainings with my co-workers to get more experience in this field and teaching clients on daily living skills. Clients were provided Substance and drug abuse education, Psycho-education and therapeutic education. Clients were taught how to keep their medication stabile and control their diagnosis by seeing their psychiatrist. I did Crisis Intervention; DAP notes for clients as documentation system. I had a lot of skills utilizing multidisciplinary team approach, providing group, individual and family therapy. Provide Quality Assurance of services based on CMS and program guidelines. Consistently exercise good judgement with emotional stability in evaluating situations and making decisions while under pressure of deadlines or occurrence of unexpected events. Participate and attend in team meetings, provide presentation on Adult Mental Illness Program goals, objectives and services. When clients are referred from Navajo Nation Behavioral Health Department, I did intake on clients that enroll with the program and orientated them as well. I have experience with working with deaf clients and teach them as well with all the other clients that were enroll with the program.
