Additional Information

For the last 18 years, I have worked as an independent house painter while also integrating my love for food and cooking into my life by working as a server and cook in both Michigan and Montana. I love the team atmosphere in kitchens but also find working independently as a painter to be very empowering. I have learned many skills in both areas of work, and have grown as both an employee and person as a result of my extensive experience in these two vastly different areas of work.( I also worked to achieve a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences during these years of employment. With respect to transparency, I am 20 credits shy of graduating with this degree.)
Working in this way has allowed me to learn exceptional communication skills with both clients and co-workers; It has taught me self discipline, time management and problem solving skills, as well the importance of organization and transparent communication.
I consider myself to be a very reliable person who believes a sense of integrity, ethic and ownership in ones work contributes to a healthy, safe and successful work space and experience. I strongly believe in community inclusion and teamwork, sustainability (both within and outside of the workplace) and enjoy providing my skills to achieve these goals.
Outside of any experience I may have, I am always open and willing to learning new skills and I take direction very well.
