01/2015 to Current Senior Vice President of Purchasing GM Financial | City, STATE,

Wholly owned captive finance subsidiary of General Motors.

Led the strategic negotiations of critical enterprise systems and outsourcing service agreements that allowed GM Financial to grow from $8b to a $100b in 10 years.

  • Negotiated an agreement Fidelity for a servicing platform to host auto finance customers. A complex implementation 3 years and consolidated 2 legacy platforms. s and $65mThis agreement required for implementation and hosting took 120 days, $65m implementation and $15m sustain. to Resulted in savings of $20m.
  • Leveraged GM's Oracle software license agreement for general ledger, human resource, and database applications. Negotiated a separate $3m annual cloud hosting agreement with Oracle.
  • Developed and deployed an invoice validation tool for Azure. Resulted in $500k in refunds for over-billing and Microsoft correcting online portal to reflect the correct discounts.
  • Collaborated with IT to build a strategic partnership with NTT for offshore IT resources. $13m annual contract with commitments by NTT responds quickly with quality resources supporting new projects and sustain activities.
  • Negotiated the complex agreements vehicle protection program launched into production October 2022. Collaborated with business owners, cyber, privacy and outside consultants in order to met the tight deadline to executed outsourcing and insurance agreement for new captive insurance entity.
  • Negotiated the agreement with Guidewire for an auto insurance platform supporting the new line of business launching in 2023 with expected $2b in annual revenue. A 5 year, $6.6m agreement executed in 70 days with approval from all stakeholders. Resulted in 11m savings.
  • Persuaded bank management executives leadership to include an additional vendor in bid for the industrial bank platform against the advice of outside consultant. Resulted in selection of Fiserv and savings of 40% over other bids. Agreement includes an opt out clause in the event bank application is not approved by FDIC.
  • Recruited, mentored and developed a diverse and highly talented team of 55 professionals and ranked as one of the best in company as evidenced by employee engagement surveys, tenure of staff and low turn over rate.
  • Issued 300m annual purchase orders in compliance with company policies. 2 year review cycle by internal audit resulting in no remediation items.
  • Implemented enterprise sourcing strategies for key areas while building strong vendor partnerships.
  • Coordinated with GM to implement company vehicle program in accordance with GM's policies. Responsible for 1,400 company cars across the US and Canada.
  • Implemented the repo agent network in support of repossession of 7,000 vehicles per month. Resulted in no fines or penalties from exams by regulatory agency.
  • Implemented global vendor management framework to support the vendor life cycle from onboarding to termination. Developed vendor risk and remediation process along with trend analysis.
  • Developed and deployed a corporate invoice processing for 2m in monthly invoices for telecom, shipping, travel and corporate credit cards.
  • Selected to lead the project for the transformation of the end of lease letters for customers. Identified opportunities to reengineering the process and implement system configuration changes resulting in avoiding hiring 200 FTEs, leveraging bots and data to send out 75k monthly letters. Required collaboration with customer experience, analytics and IT teams to implement recommendations. Resulted in 90m of additional revenue to bottom line while earning customers for life.
  • Developed and implemented end to end solution for leasing of vehicles to GM's in support of Maven, a Gig entity. This included the accounting for 170m inventory, secure title management, consolidated monthly invoice, and general ledger entries. Replicated solution for Australia, and Canada. Resulted in 10m to bottom line.
04/2008 to 01/2015 Vice President of Purchasing GM Financial | City, STATE,
  • Led the transition activities for procurement department during the acquisition by GM.
  • Negotiated a year agreement outsourcing services agreement with Fiserv in 3 months for a lease financing customers in support of selling GM vehicles. Resulted in a 8 year agreement, 20m agreement, with annual savings 11m.
  • Implemented Oracle purchasing module to automate purchase requests and purchase orders.
  • Hired and developed a contract team to support all the new contracts needed to become a full captive finance company.
  • Collaborated with IT to re-engineer hardware inventory to meet the hiring demands of the organization. Ensured employees on first day of employee were assigned computer equipment.


10/2003 to 01/2008 Assisted Vice President of Purchasing AmeriCredit Financial Services (GM Financial) | City, STATE,
  • Implemented an online system for repossession assignments to repo agents network, electronic invoice validation into accounts payment system and automated posting of expenses to customer accounts. Resulted in annual savings of 5m with reduction of 3 FTEs.
  • Worked with vendors to reduce annual license costs due to the 2003 economic conditions. Savings of 20m.
  • Negotiated the Verizon (formerly MCI) telecom agreement resulting reducing the annual spend commitment by 1m, adding pricing for services, and saving 500K.
