Senior Software Engineer/Manager February 2000 to CurrentCompany Name － City, StateMy most recent years with Towers Watson involved leading a global engineering team in innovating features to keep our products ahead in a competitive HR Talent Management marketplace. My role involves technical product management, requirement reviews/approvals, team/client training, software architecture and engineering. Our solution uses the latest in web technologies such as MVC, WCF, jQuery, etc.
Prior to this role, I was a senior engineer in our Health and Welfare line of business. I managed 6-8 engineers within the US that worked on similar client facing applications. In the 8 years I spent in this role I used many different technologies such as FoxPro, VB and ultimately .Net with C# and ASP.Net. As a technical lead I was also involved in creating base code solutions that were shared across our organization and which are still in use today.
Programmer March 1999 to February 2000Company Name － City, StateI designed and implemented transaction based, data entry applications for the Multilayer Ceramics Division. My experience here truly tested my abilities to analyze user needs in order to design and distribute applications that were useful to the end user. With my previous experience in NT and Novell server technology and computer hardware, I was a very valuable resource to the IT Division of Kyocera.
Programmer October 1996 to March 1999Company Name － City, StateOriginally I was brought on to this position to help maintain FoxPro applications, but in my 2+ years here, I truly was wore all the hats. My FoxPro applications help automate processes that took 7 days down to eight hours, unattended. My responsibilities quickly expanded into the Internet, which included managing a Linux Internet server, web page programming and server scripting. I also took over most of the network administration and hardware related tasks that needed to be completed on a daily basis.
