I have successfully shifted my studies from the agricultural field to the medical field after I got my PhD in 2000. Because I am very interested in cancer research, I have continued working in that area for more than 15 years. My research focus is on prostate cancer. Through these many years of research experience, I have developed an excellent proficiency in cancer research with broad scopes of both in vitro and in vivo, from cell cultures to animal models. My strongest skills include adapting, developing, and troubleshooting. For a new or tough project, I am able to figure out the key issue by searching the references and analyzing critically. This way, I can tackle the problems and work out the best possible solutions. That is why I may forge ahead in the field of cancer research even when it was not my original expertise.
Since I moved to NYU from WFU, I have been working on patient specimen for immunoprofiling, PDOTs(patient-derived organotypic tumor spheroids) isolation and drug treatment. I have grasped more specific techniques for clinical specimen processing and analysis. I has successfully developed syngeneic mouse organoid model for prostate cancer preclinical study. Also I am involved in lung cancer mouse models, thus enriched much more expereince(dosing, MRI, sample collection, etc) for preclinical studies.
