Determine acceptance of applicant's based on prior medical history, current medical history, current health status, prognosis and anticipated future medical cost. Analyzes applications and information focusing on medical and contractual/non-medical conditions that can affect morbidity and persistency of business. Underwrite HMO, PPO, Hospital/Surgical Plans and Health-Savings Plans
Process approval of applicant(s) on standard and non-standard basis. Process unacceptable applicants. Providing written explanation to agents and applicants
Determine acceptability of applicants. Analyzes applicants on past and current medical history, prognosis and anticipated future medical cost for PPO, HMO and Hospital/Surgical Plans
Managed quality communication, customer support of incoming calls from Call Center
Review appeals from applicants/policyholders, physician's and attorney's pertaining to substandard and/or rejected individuals. Analyze the underwriting file, determine if appropriate guidelines were administered. Sustain underwriting action or recommended alternative offer. Prepared written correspondence to addressee.
Review & analyze applications for increased in health insurance coverage, addition of dependent(s).
Determine eligibility of Disability Income Protection policies based on occupational duties, income and medical history.
Assisted and advised incoming calls from existing policyholders and agents
Promptly responded and assisted policyholders written inquiries from policyholders. Review required documents for processing of beneficiaries changes and address changes.
Written communication for explanation of waiver of premium benefits
Verified details of transactions, including funds received and total account balances.
Researched and resolved billing and invoice problems.
Completed daily, monthly and quarterly accounting reports for reconciliation for insurance accounts
Audit of Payment Processing Clerks and Health Change Technician's. To insure quality and accurate processing
typed insurance documents and disbursement checks requiring 100% accuracy
