UK Mountain Leader Award training Jul 2010 Completed a six day technical competency course in outdoor leadership in Scotland, approved by the British Mountaineering Council. Skills focused on group management, navigation, environmental awareness, hazards, emergency procedures, equipment, expedition skills and weather. British Explorers' Leadership Development programme Feb - Jul 2008 This six month course in the UK and Norway developed practical mountaineering and leadership skills, culminating in the NVQ qualification in Management (see above). Equestrianism Jul 1997 and 1998 During my teens I rode competitively at national and European level. I represented Great Britain at the European Pony Three Day Event Championships in France (1998) and Sweden (1999), winning two team silver medals, one individual silver and one individual gold medal in total.
