Responsible to ensure proper, efficient operations and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for assigned facilities. Recommend improvements, corrective action and preventative maintenance items to Management. Developed and maintain effective building-specific maintenance procedures. Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians. Maintain stock and inventory control. Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns. Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits. I maintain five plus buildings ranging from 25,000 square feet to 80,000 square feet.
General abilities and skills – HVAC/VAV system and computer controls experience. Have experienced with general welding and basic hand tool capabilities, to include, fabrication and modification. Maintained company procedures for a clean work environment. Very good written and verbal communication skills. Reliable work history.
Specific abilities and skills –
Maintained 140,000 combined square feet of facility grounds and systems. One of the primary first responders for all facility and mechanical issues. Maintained detailed and thorough records of all maintenance performed. Inspected and repaired chillers, cooling towers, fan coils, heating hot water boilers, steam boilers, and all A/C units. Simultaneously supervised as many as six on site, independent contractors performing complex facility modifications. Routinely and accurately performed and carried out complex procedural instructions. Communicate operational issues and changes to management on a daily basis. Skilled in
a wide variety of hand and power tools including hoists, drills, precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices. Skills in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing wiring, plumbing, equipment, systems and machinery to maintain a 24/7 pharmaceutical research operation. Was recognized internally for outstanding customer service on several occasions.
