Hello, My name is Jessica Claire. Before you read more into my work experience I thought I would give you a little personal background on myself. The past few years I spent my days being a stay at home mom as my husband is in the United States Marine Corps. We recently made our way back to Kentucky after being stationed in North Carolina. When coming back I made the decision to go back to work. As you can imagine going all that time being unemployed made getting back to work a bit tricky. I wanted something flexible so I could still be home with my children as much as I possibly could. Working in the Retail field made that possible for me. I personally believe I excel in working in with others. I have a professional but friendly reputation for exceeding all performance benchmarks in retail settings. I'm an independent worker with great communication and organizational skills. I am comfortable collaborating in team environments while grasping company initiatives quickly, achieving store and personal goals.
Although my time at The Children's Place was short, I very much enjoyed my time working there. I was promoted very quickly from Sales Associate to a Sales Lead (Assistant Manager Position). I was recognized for my ability to communicate and provided exceptional service that ensured not only myself but the store as a whole gained positive feedback. Skills i acquired while working at The Children's Place- Retail Operations, Customer Service, Stocking/Receiving, Floor-sets, Cash Handling, Sales, Loss Control/Prevention.
After the decision of leaving my High School and receiving my GED I worked with multiple families in providing care for their children. The children I cared for varying in ages (2 years-12years). My time caring for the children took place during some weekends, mornings, mid-day, evenings (after school), summer and winter breaks. I believe myself to be skilled in creating fun, engaging, educational activities, while making the children's well being and safety my top priority. In addition to staying indoors and organizing many home-learning activities we often adventured out for fun socializing at local parks, swimming pools, movie theaters, and more! Along with caring for the children I also had lite household duties such as preparing meals and cleaning.
During my time working as a Legislative Page I was constantly on the move. Walking the floors of the Capitol and Annex building my duties mostly consisted of delivery of Legislative materials, preparing the the Chamber for Session and carrying Bills to be presented to the stand. I occasionally would run personal errands for the staff as well.
