PERSONAL PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY My name is Patrick Rangel and I am married with three children. I always knew I wanted to be in Law Enforcement. I started working with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's department as a Sheriff's Custody assistant in January 2015. I worked at the High Desert Detention Center until I was hired as a Deputy Sheriff. After completion of the Academy, I was assigned to West Valley Detention Center. After working in the jail for a brief time I was assigned to the Victor Valley Station. Upon completing my field training, I was assigned to work in the City of Adelanto. Due to Adelanto being a high crime and gang-related area, I was given much experience in a short time. After my assignment in Adelanto, I was transferred to the outlining station in Lucerne Valley. Each of these assignments gave me the experience needed to be well rounded in my career. I continuously sought advanced training to help me succeed and become more efficient.

During my time as a Deputy Sheriff, I had the opportunity to learn and experience many scenarios and outcomes. I have various advanced officer trainings, most of which was not required by my agency. I strive to be efficient and have attention to detail on all of my tasks. I work well on my own and also alongside my colleagues in a team setting. I have a strong work ethic and I have always taken pride in whatever I am doing. I believe constant learning and education is key to becoming a great professional. I aim to fulfill a role in which integrity and resourcefulness will be utilized to provide continuous knowledge to future law enforcement professionals.
