Provide customer service and information on all products, assist with sales, maintain appropriate level on floor inventory/replenish as needed. Assist with unloading trucks and keeping overflow stock organized in the back room or warehouse area. For products featured on the store floor, ensure all merchandise is tagged (price tags, size tags, sales stickers, etc.). As prices throughout store change, assist with price changes by re-tagging and/or moving merchandise. If necessary, rearrange all new marked down merchandise on the store floor placing the products in an organized fashion on shelves, racks, counters, and sales displays.
Duties include loading customer orders into the delivery van, inspecting floral arrangements for damages, and reporting any issues to the florist. Bringing arrangements to customers' homes. Obtaining signatures for proof of receipt. As needed, assisted in floral shop/warehouse. Assisted with unpacking floral freight deliveries and occasionally assist with organizing flowers in the storeroom and writing up customer orders. Responsible for the maintenance of the company vehicle as well.
Administrative duties included answering calls. taking messages, light customer service. Office Manager duties consisted of general bookkeeping: payroll, accounts receivable and payable, monthly accruals and closing of the books.
