Graduated basic training in January, 2009 at Paris Island, South Carolina. As a Marine I deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan from Oct. 2010 to May 2011, where our unit reconstructed and refortified Camp Leatherneck during Operation Enduring Freedom. During my time in the service I managed a warehouse, did inventories, packing and shipping. I solidified my natural attributes of leadership, hard work, dedication, and aspired my career to living up to the USMC motto “Semper Fidelis,” always faithful. Effectively communicating and working alongside fellow marines, we supported the fight in the “War on Terrorism,” aiding in the protection of our country and the future of a new Afghanistan.
