Responsibilities:
Certifications that allow me to be a better resource for staff:
I consistently take initiative to learn new things, so that I perform my job functions better and provide more value to our credit union. For example, in 2012, I obtained ACH Professional certification with NACHA, so that the credit union had an ACH Professional on staff, I attended CUNA's Compliance School to obtain my Credit Union Compliance expert certification and CUNA's Sank Secrecy Act School to obtain my Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist certification, overall expanding my ability to serve our members by giving staff another compliance resource. I learned how to use Excel so that we could start creating more effective audit reports for management to use as a tool for staff development. In addition to identifying oversights and exceptions while auditing, I look for possible causes that might underlie the issues and implement changes as necessary.I regularly stay involved in our community events, and in 2014 I initiated and coordinated our first charity run/walk in support of our local food banks.
This was a week long conference covering such topics as the Bank Secrecy Act, mortgage lending, consumer lending, deposit accounts and NCUA requirements for credit unions. It concluded with a certification exam for the Credit Union Compliance Expert designation.
This was a two month online based course offered by WesPay which ended with a certification exam to obtain the ACH Professional certification.
Specialized in Environmental Justice with a minor in Spanish. During which, I attended La Universidad del Rosario, Argentina August-November in 2008 where I accomplished a study abroad program in the study of Argentine culture and language.
