I, Mikey Ojeda, am a 24 year old, detailed, hard working, and fast paced individual. I began my career in 2012 being an assistant for Supercross/ Motocross racer Cole Seely. I attended all of the races with Cole as well as each and every day of practice. I was the guy that kept our house tight as well as preparing gear and even wrenching on his bike here and there. The gear preparation on a daily basis is what led me to my next step in 2014 once I parted with Seely Racing Concepts. I have always enjoyed the gear aspect of the industry and in the years I worked with Cole, I would help with product development by relaying any changes in Troy Lee Designs gear. In 2014, I was given the opportunity to fill in on the Troy Lee Designs, Lucas Oil, Honda Team as Rider Support. A few rounds in to the season, I took on Fredik Noren as well while he filled in on Factory Honda. I did every race of the outdoor series and had an outstanding season for myself as far as everything in my job title being on point. This has lead me to where I want to be now as Athlete Manager & Rider Support.
I started from making sure all gear was ready for the weekend and being flown with us to each event. Once we got to the races, I managed each rider's locker as well as all of the gear throughout the day. I cleaned helmets for each moto, prepared goggles, hats off system in each helmet and any other task the team or riders needed. I was the go to guy in any situation. Podium bag always prepped and I was always first one at the podium with all essentials. After each race, preformed tear down and packaging of gear to be sent back with us. I worked as much as I could retrieving info from each rider on how to make the gear work better or what could make their experience in TLD that much better. Not only did I do what my job entailed me to do, but I know my relationships with my assigned riders is something I take very seriously; I like to be a motivator as well and keep all the boys in high spirit. Everything in my doing I take extreme pride in and I believe it shows in all of my work.
On the daily basis I kept Cole on track to what our goals were, which is Supercross and Motocross Championships. On a practice day it went from making lunch in the morning to having all the gear prepped for each day. Product development and testing with Troy Lee Designs rider support to make Cole's gear as well as the brand better.
