Bachelors of Arts Degree in Elementary Education *State of Colorado K-5 teaching license with K-12 Spanish Endorsement *Student teaching internship with Poudre School District *Passion for teaching and developing children My love for teaching was formed at an early age. When I was in Elementary School, I would spend my summers calibrating lesson plans for my younger sisters in our basement. My mom bought me grading books, stamps, and countless workbooks for my days on the job. Despite the silliness of my expectancies at such an early age, my sisters always attended their "summer school". When I reached high school, I was engrossed with AP and honors classes, sports, and college-preparedness. I have always had a love for learning, motivated to do my best in school for the simple idea of gaining knowledge I did not have prior to the day. When I reached college, and began teaching at a local preschool, my youngest sister was in fourth grade. It was impossible to ignore the influence her fourth grade teacher had on her during this time in her life, due to her animation, emotional connection, and the stories she told about her classroom. I was intrigued by the crucial impact my sister's teacher had on her in one short year. I realized the influence of teaching exceeds content and lands on the development of character and social development. As I gained more experience with children during my educational and occupational careers, my own passion towards teaching ensued. A desire to support children through learning has kindled a purpose to develop moral characters that can contribute to society exponentially today.
