Plugging - clean plate with a plate cleaner and gum the plate afterwards, check proper dosage of pH and conductivity, get a new plate - Emulisiﬁcation - re-balance ink / water - Offset - increase heat, increase air ﬂow at dryer, lower inks, spray more powder - Picking - reduce ink, decrease impression pressure, inspect for bad stock slurring/doubling - reduce printing pressure , reduce plate to blanket pressure, check packing under blanket, re- torque blanket, adjust grippers and transfer gaps - Toning - adjust water tank temperature if needed, more water to plate, check plate to blanket pressure, get new plate - Hickies - remove dried up ink on plate clamps if any and off blanket , reduce tack of ink to prevent picking apart the surface of the paper
