At Creative, I was required to work in all facets of high end residential electrical. Common duties were working in a clean and professional manner, leading teams of three or more in million-dollar plus homes. Service changes, generators, and custom equipment installs were typical. Pools/hot tubs, stereo systems, and low-voltage wiring were also common. Often the demands of the high profile clientèle and designers required thinking outside of the box.
At CL&P, I was trained in servicing and testing meter equipment on buildings throughout CT. Safety and use of PPE were of the highest priority in this work environment, as all work is performed in a "live" condition. Budget cuts in the company closed this position state-wide.
At WIC, I worked around the country installing automation equipment in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and machine fabricators. This included complex PLC based motor control, utilizing VFD's, AC/DC drives, I/O cards, solenoids, photoeyes, contactors, transformers, relays, etc. I was also responsible for building high end, UL APPROVED, control cabinets while working from drawings engineered in house. Troubleshooting in the field was a common duty, as well as redesigning the PLC ladder logic drawings for the engineers. I was foreman to many large jobs, running crews as large as twelve.
At Larry Low Electric, I worked on large residential homes from the ground up, as well as full renovations of commercial buildings, apartments, and light industrial jobs. This included restaurants and salons, and a wood milling plant. Many locations required site lighting and generators. After receiving my electrical license in 2005, I was paired with an apprentice who I was responsible for at all times.
Graduated, with Honors, from the electrical program at Oliver Wolcott.
Has completed all yearly 7-hour Electrical Continuing Education courses as mandated by the State.
