Prior to accepting the Chief Regulatory Affiars Officer and Director of Quality position within Summers County ARH I was the Education Coordinator and Senior Care Program Nurse Manager. The Education Coordinator afforded me the opportunity to be involved in the initial orientation of employees as well as continuing education throughout the year. During this time I was part of the system wide team who trained all cliical staff to use the Meditech ehr designed for ARH.

As the Senior Care Program Nurse Manager I was active in a program which provided individual and group therapy to an elderly population dealing with diverse psychiatric issues. One of my duties for this position was providing an educational session prior to each group session; I designed lessons for self-care in relation to topics such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, and the importance of medication routines.

My employment prior to becoming an RN included serving active and retired military in the Nurenburg Army Hospital, Nurenburg, Germany as a dental assistant and time as an E-911 operator in Mercer County, WV. As an emergency operator and dispatcher I utilized expert communication skills in crisis situations.
