Professional Summary

Graduated as a Registered Nurse and I have a combined 10 years of clinical experience. I had to take a break in my full time career to be a full time care-giver to my severely pre-mature grandchildren. Following their prolonged hospital admission after delivery, I was appointed as primary joint conservator and was deemed responsible for 100% of their extensive medical care. During my full time nursing employment I gained experience with general medical care, dialysis, as well as pre and post-op surgery. I am passionate about my nursing career and taking such a long break in the direct clinical setting was very tough. Through my years of unemployment in the field, I have continued to keep my nursing license current through continuing education courses. Although I've had a long lapse in the clinical setting, I can say that I have not been out of medical care and practices. As a caretaker for my grandchildren with special needs, I was continuously in and out of hospitals, physical therapy, regular follow up appointments with physicians and specialists, as well as multiple surgeries that required extensive post-operative care and management. With that being said, their needs were very extensive and took priority over my career, temporarily. At this time, I am finally able to continue my nursing career, as they have come a long way and are not dependent of my care giving. Within the past year I have volunteered many hours of my time to ACCHD to administer COVID vaccines throughout our community. I would appreciate the opportunity to pursue my goals and enter back to full time and/or part time practice in my nursing career. I have always been a dedicated and compassionate nurse and my nursing care has definitely continued even though I haven't been in the direct clinical care setting.
