  • I currently float to non-invasive procedures where my role is to be the pre intra and post nurse for transeaopgageal echocardiograms and tilt table test. I have also been the in charge of that department when the lead nurse was on vacation being responsible for coordinating the team needed for procedures such as the echo tech, anesthesiologist, and the physician doing the procedure as well as scheduling the procedure and the anesthesiologist. In addition I have to be in close contact with cardiologist to help coordinate and accommodate their schedule with everyone needed to do the procedures.
  • During Covid I floated to the medical ICU and took on the role of a staff nurse with a full commitment for the patients. I took care of two critical patients as a staff nurse fir a few months in 2020 as well as 2021.
  • I also helped the education department during Covid due many of our patients being Hispanic and needing education to not be readmitted due to noncompliance with treatment. I helped that department for about a month and collaborated with team to find barriers in the education being given to patients. Being bilingual and a nurse help the team come up with a better education plan for Hispanic population to understand the material and prevent readmissions and better outcomes.
