Worked the following units at ProHealthcare Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Oconomowoc Hospital as pool nurse:
ICU-Intensive Care of Pts with critical illness /multiple Health concerns, ventilators, swans, multiple core IV drips for unstable patients, frequent vital signs, and full telemetry and cardiac monitoring.
HCU- Monitoring and Maintaining care of Pt with potential to become unstable and need more intensive care
PACU-Care of the post op patient until stabilized and extubated for transfer back to their inpatient bed.
Interventional Radiology- Responsibilities included intake assessment and educating Pt for their procedure, notify MD of concerns(labs, vital signs,) monitoring frequent Vital Signs/Assessments during procedure as well as administering Conscious sedation Medications, reversal meds as needed, notifying Radiologist of any potentially unstable trends, maintaining pt. advocacy during procedures, monitoring and assisting with recovery until Pt stabilized for discharge or transfer.
