I started at Good Shepherd in January 2002 as a nurse extern while completing my last year of Nursing school. In December of that year I graduated from Kilgore College and became an RN in January 2003. I worked almost a year on the post surgical unit and then transferred to Labor and Delivery in November of 2003. I have assisted in surgeries and monitored patients with epidurals and general anesthesia post cesarean sections and tubals and D&C procedures. I have always worked nights and Im looking at going to a day shift job at this time.
As required by all hospitals I have worked at, I keep my ACLS and BLS up to date and current. I have been a relief charge nurse for the past 13 years on the labor and delivery unit. I have been a part of the Unit practice committee and have worked on various projects to better equip our nurses on our unit. I have also been a preceptor for new nurses on our unit. I am very hardworking and have exceptional time management skills. I love caring for all people and would love the chance to be an asset to your company.
