Represent the Charles County Health Department and the Maryland Department of the Environment during site investigations. Conduct inspections at permitted residential and commercial sites to determine compliance with MD State Code of Regulations in the areas of well water construction as well as wastewater disposal systems. Investigate citizen complaints concerning public health hazards and provide regulatory enforcement to resolve such issues. Prepare enforcement documents and depositions during administrative hearings and court cases, which has successfully led to the conviction of several violators . Provide technical review of developmental site plans and building permits for residential and commercial sites utilizing on-site water and or wastewater disposal systems. Successfully designed and inspected the installation of numerous on-site sewage disposal systems to resolve a public health necessity. Conducted thousands of Geo-Technical soil evaluations, which has led to the successful site development of hundreds of homes and commercial structures within Charles County. Advise and consult developers and engineers on regulatory compliance during project review meetings. Train and advise lower level environmental health workers which has led to a more proficient staff. Effectively establish and maintain inter-governmental agency work relationships and share technical assistance to resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Conducted laboratory analysis of effluent from a class 5A water and wastewater treatment plant to determine the plant's efficiency in meeting Maryland's (NPDES) which led to plant upgrades.
