I started as the Receptionist, a position I greatly enjoyed and dedicated myself to for over 6 years. As the corporate receptionist, I handled first contacts with clients, guests, and vendors through multi-line switchboard communication and in person, acting as first "ambassador" to the agency via telephone and in person. I professionally screened all calls for Chief Executive Officer/Chairman, CFO, other department management directors, as well as HR, and Recruiting. Beyond greeting vendors, guests, and clients and directing them to the appropriate associate, I kept track of employees by maintaining a daily census in order to track availability in case of client or emergency calls. I developed a new system for documenting all deliveries electronically and on paper and notifying the appropriate party as well as tracking purchase orders from couriers/vendors and assigning correct job numbers. Checking and updating emails continuously throughout the day in addition to tracking associates working remotely and their billable hours and time sheets discretely for upper management was a project I was entrusted with that included sensitive information. I also was charged with keeping track of freelancers and remote associates that came into office to work, including how long they would be there for, and what location and phone extension they would be at, in addition to finding open workspaces to assign them to. In between these duties, I often asked for extra projects and regularly assisted our accounting department in our billing software by updating employee and client billing rates.
I was then promoted to Administrative Assistant upon graduating with my Bachelor's degree to learn the ropes of the agency. I was responsible for maintaining team calendar for multiple departments consisting of over 40 people, coordinated production estimate projects, distributed mail and packages as well as outbound shipping, data entry, transcribing, faxing, copying, scanning and filing. My other duties include updating information/training guide, meeting planning, group member travel profile information and shipping log documentation. I was also in charge of arranging client meetings and lunches to include preparation, catering, meeting materials and set-up/clean-up, and prepared travel arrangements for groups. After 5 months, I was then promoted to my current position.
I currently hold two job roles - as a Junior Developer, I develop and maintain interactive websites and e-mail communications, focusing on level 1 and 2 projects which involve production of e-mail layouts and basic to intermediate scripting and website development. This involves direct collaboration with art directors, producers, production managers, and account service teams. As a developer within the agency I have become the go-to person for insight and perspective on mobile responsive email as I have become known for pushing the envelope in designing and deploying mobile responsive HTML emails. As a development coordinator, I work directly with the Production Managers to identify developers for appropriate projects, schedule the projects, and manage conflicts and exceptions. This includes acting as the eyes and ears for Digital Development Director and managing the workloads, projects and schedules for other web developers. My specialty is managing quick-turn projects and meeting fast paced deadlines, sometimes turning a new project around to successful completion within the same working day.
This was another dual role in my career where I served as bartender in the hotel bar as well as working the front desk as a guest representative.
