Highly motivated professional offering 15 years of experience in the day to day operations in various radiology settings. I am a hard a hardworking, enthusiastic radiologic technologist who takes pride in my role.
I perform imaging for Outpatient and a moderate sized Urgent Care. I execute specialty orthopedic views and protocols for over 25 different Orthopedic Surgeons in a high volume office using both CR and DR equipment. We also are responsible for Operating the C arm for Pain Clinic procedures and Operating Room cases. I assist the radiologist while operating the C arm for arthrogram and pain injection procedures as well as joint aspirations while maintaining sterile technique.
Being the primary liaison between management , doctors, patients and technologists, I strive to provide excellent and professional service for exceptional patient satisfaction. I am responsible for supervising staff technologists to ensure the department is running efficiently, and all technologist are providing optimal imaging. Being a very busy department providing imaging service to Urgent Care ,Orthopedic and out patients is challenging at times, efficiency and safety are a top priority.
I conduct the training new technologists as well as navigate the local vocational high school students internship program.
My administrative duties include conducting the Quality Control Program by reviewing and evaluating the technologists images to determine quality for diagnostic purposes . Mainting all technologists education folders, ensuring all licensures and CBL's are satisfactory. Providing inventory management and department equipment maintenance.
I worked independently in a high volume orthopedic office setting , coordinating with the medical assistants as well as physicians in maintaining the work flow. I assisted in rooming patients ,acquiring patient histories, as well as prepping charts and ordering exams. I preforming imaging on all patients with minimal discomfort and maintaining patient safety and modesty. Fostered relationships with returning patients to minimize anxiety. Assisting in minor special procedures such as cortisone injections.
I have worked for Southcoast Hospital Group for 13 years and have maintained strong work relationships within. I began as an Imaging Assistant and transitioned into the role of Radiologic Technologist. I have preformed numerous radiology procedures while implementing low dose techniques. I have strong experience working with Fluoroscopy, Portable X-ray and C-Arm, as well as CR and DR X-ray equipment. I have knowledge and experience in minor special procedures such as joint aspirations, lumbar punctures , myelograms and arthrograms. I am comfortable and efficient working in a fast pace setting of an Emergency department and Operating Room.
