Work History
R&D Lab Technician, 11/2020 - 06/2022
American Chemical Society Omaha, NE,
  • Undertook fire safety training to safely handle the various fuels that were used in our laboratory: diesel, different blends of LPG, natural gas, different blends of natural gas & hydrogen, and pure hydrogen.
  • Tested prototype industrial burners for our ceramic industry applications and collected data using various specialized tools, such as gas leak detectors, multichannel thermocouple data loggers, industrial emissions analyzers, infrared cameras, flame ionization detectors (FID) and more
  • Logged the temperature of the flame, target material and chamber to document the flame cone and its fluid dynamics. Logged the exhaust fumes to check the levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, NOx, organic compounds and others.
  • Participated in proof-of-concept flameless combustion tests with hydrogen, in which we verified the strong NOx reduction of this technique, thus combating the main drawback of hydrogen combustion and proving the possibility of producing and selling a zero emissions kiln
  • Controlled our prototype burners for gas leaks, mechanical tolerances and overall fit and finish
  • Discussed with our suppliers about our requirements, issues, and solutions to be applied
Installation Manager, 03/2018 - 11/2020
Adt Security Services, Inc Poca, WV,

  • Relocated to the work site in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East for durations of up to 90 consecutive days.
  • Followed medical requirements for international travel such as vaccinations (covid-19 and yellow fever), dozens of PCR covid-19 tests, and multiple covid-19 quarantine periods when departing or re-entering the country
Field Service Technician, 07/2012 - 03/2018
Cvs Health Fort Worth, TX,
  • Installed people counter system at the entrances of boutique shops, malls, outlets, temporary events and more to accurately measure the footfall and presence of shoppers at any given time
  • Autonomously booked flights, ferries, rental cars and hotels and traveled alone to the locations of our clients, mostly in Italy but also around Europe
  • Strictly followed programmed appointments with clients and when force majeure prevented me from doing so, arranged with my direct superior to direct an available colleague or reschedule the appointment
  • Installed new equipment, explained operation, uses and limitations to customers. Compiled paperwork and documented the installation with pictures, drawings and textual descriptions
  • Installed people counters based on photoelectric sensors, stereoscopic cameras or thermal cameras. Connected said devices by pulling power cables, data cables for RS-XXX/RS-485, ethernet cables, or wirelessly via wifi or using a radio bridge. Crimped ethernet cable in RJ45 type B color code, soldered RS cable on DB9 connectors
  • Utilized a laptop computer and various software applications to test and troubleshoot our systems
  • Troubleshooted issue regarding lack of wired or wireless communication.
  • Troubleshooted counting errors caused by defective, obstructed or blinded sensors, changed or unexpected flow of customers, etc.
