  • Enhanced public health and safety throughout the County of San Bernardino by the monitoring water quality of private wells and water systems, and other administrative duties. Recorded and reported over 600 samples that went unchecked since the December 2, 2015 attack, some of which impacted end users and posed serious hazards to public health. Ensured emergency protocols and forms were updated by state deadlines, as over 50 systems had outdated protocols.
  • Organized data and information for Environmental Health Specialists and the local community by creating, updating, and maintaining databases, contacts, and spreadsheets; redacting public records; and updating water system information for inspectors and end users.
  • Monitored and assessed liquid waste companies within the county, to ensure such businesses are in compliance with all state laws, rules and regulations for disposal; and applicable permits are on file.
  • Organized and created internal policies and procedures for the County’s Division of Environmental Health Services, so that the division can operate smoothly after emergency situations. Created clear and comprehensible Standard Practices for future employees to follow if a trainer is unavailable to teach and explain new duties. Conducted research on safety risks for Environmental Health Specialist in the field using online data collection, interviews, and intuitive reasoning, which was used to create internal policies by the Compliance Department, and for training purposes.

Worked closely with the video committee chair to produce promotional videos, and issue-based videos that connect with an overarching theme. Assisted the volunteer committee chair to help manage fifteen volunteers and distribute meals during the conference. 
  • Engaged in outreach efforts and led a youth group for the 2nd Annual MSA College Day, where Muslim high school and transfer students visited UC Riverside for one day, attending informational and spiritual workshops. I contacted numerous Muslim Student Associations and places of worship in Southern California, and utilized social media platforms, in efforts to gain wide attendance. Roughly 100 students, along with a few parents and guardians, attended this event.  
  • Built strategic alliances with other student organizations on campus, and organized a "No Ban No Wall" solidarity action on campus, in response to new immigration policies.
