During my time in this program, I learned about needle safety, blood borne pathogens, how to prevent accidental sticks and contamination, and the proper way to perform a venipuncture. The course instructed me on the safest ways to do straight sticks, butterfly sticks and capillary sticks. I had a 3.5 GPA for this course upon completion and received praise for my ability to pick up the material quickly. I was also trained on appropriate bed-side manner in this course and did several mock evaluations. I completed this course having performed 75 successful venipunctures, the majority of them being straight sticks with a more minor focus on the butterfly and capillary sticks.

While in this program I learned how to perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs and Holter Monitors. We did mock care facility training, giving me experience with bed-side manner and the appropriate ways to interact with a patient and facility staff. During this program, I held a, GPA: 3.8, successfully performed and read over 15 EKG strips, and received an award for perfect attendance.
During my time in this program I learned about the anatomy and physiology of the skin, treatments for different skin types, how to do chemical peels, how to do botox/filler injections and how to perform some laser techniques to hair removal or skin conditions. I was also instructed in the artistry of make-up. My instructors praised me for my ability to quickly pick up on new materials and apply them accordingly.
