I am a skilled mechanical insulator who thrives independently or as a team member. Proactive in creating a safe and productive environment. I am also an Experienced Construction foreman knowledgeable about the tools, materials and methods used in the mechanical insulation business, though i have primarily worked in the commercial aspect of the industry. Schools,High Rises,Hospitals,Remodels and Ground-up projects.
Completed several projects in the last 12 years, all on time and at or under budget. Trained and mentored over a dozen construction workers, general laborers and helpers.
I am currently employed by this company. My duties consists of Job managing,Material ordering,Time keeping,Employee Transportation,Training Helpers all while actively Installing materials and keeping job on schedule.
My work consisted of helping plumbers and pipe fitters with plumbing projects. When all plumbing was tested and approved, I would then begin the insulation process. My work was primarily on military installations. Camp Lejeune,Camp Gieger,Camp David and Cherry Point.
During this time i decided to take a break from Mechanical Insulation and went to work for a highway road crew. I started as a flagger and quickly moved my way up to heavy equipment. I learned to run a road milling machine, pneumatic roller, compactor, water truck, loaders and was moved to a rock base yard where i was taught to spread base with a motor grader, water it and load on to trucks for weighing.
This is where my career as an Insulator began. Truthfully i was hired and fired several times and i also quit too. I was young and immature during this time in my life. Every time i returned work i had a better grasp of what i was doing and began to learn the Insulation business. This was a very important time in my life.
Dropped out of high school, joined job corps, received GED learned a trade.
