  • Responsible for management of day-to-day operational aspects of projects Responsible for five direct reports which include daily supervision, review and approval of timecards and expense reports, conduct performance reviews and monitor goals and objectives, handle employee performance issues, provide an interface between employees and corporate to share knowledge and provide guidance Manages the Systems and Technology Solutions (STS) business unit Project Control Office (PCO); responsibilities include identifying resources and assigning individual responsibilities within the PCO team, applying company methodology and enforcement of project standards to minimize exposure and risk, and identifying areas for process improvement Responsible for effectively communicating to Executive Level Management, Division, Program and Project Managers, and clients to provide financial management, contract management, subcontract management, material procurement, cost estimating, progress reporting, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) management Oversees project control efforts in support of Prime Contracts and Subcontracts including Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and Time & Materials (T&M) type contracts Actively managing six prime contracts and over 50 subcontracts/purchase orders To date has managed nine prime contracts with ceiling in excess of $220M and over 70 subcontracts/purchase orders Ensures contracts are managed and controlled successfully to obtain sufficient profit margins in order to meet/exceed budget goals Interfaces with corporate infrastructure on various matters including contractual and financial matters, quality management processes, and utilization of business tools and reporting systems Support annual budget development utilizing both top-down and bottoms-up estimating practices Maintains solid relationships with other prime contractors, subcontractors, and specialized vendors Supports business development and contract proposal activities, such as capture management, pricing support, and proposal writing Provides project management support to various Navy programs including DDG-1000 Program Office, PMS320 Electric Ships Office, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics program, and Life Support and Compressed Air Systems branch.
  • Support includes Earned Value Management (EVM), reporting of cost/schedule variances, develops high level project schedules, metrics development for program reviews.
