Ruggedized Handheld Microwave RADAR Lead multidisciplinary team in the development of a handheld microwave RADAR to support verification of low observable aircraft prior to mission deployment.Utilized prior R&D efforts to ruggedize and improve measurement accuracy using state-of-the-art electronics, 6DOF positioning system and advanced thermal/structural materials.
Scalable Data Collection and Processing Architecture
Architected and lead the implementation of a C# .NET application under a significant R&D effort to collect and process arbitrary data sets from different sources and provide these data streams to MATLAB in real-time using inter-process communication.The ability to quickly develop and apply real-time signal processing to synchronous data streams allowed analysis of complex problems.This processing architecture was used to improve a variety of Key Performance Parameters of the system ranging from reducing radiated emissions to increasing measurement SNR.
CE/ATEX Li-Ion Battery Pack
Designed and lead the agency approval process for a Li-Ion battery packed approved for UN38.3 shipping and CE/ATEX compliance for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.Currently in production as the energy source for the F-35 tier 2 LO inspection.
MMW RFIC Design
Co-designed several SiGe millimeter wave RFICs which were used to implement an ultra-wideband up/downconverter which was paired with a custom designed 12GSPS ADC/DAC system allowing capture and synthesis of RF waveforms to support electronic warfare.
