I became a Chicago Police Officer in 1989 and after completion of The Chicago Police Academy, I was assigned to the 13th, 23rd and 20th Districts in the Patrol Division. In 1991, I was assigned to the 20th District Tactical Team for a period of five years. In 1996, I was assigned to the Intelligence section for a period of two years. In 1998 I was promoted to the rank of Detective where I am currently assigned to Area North Detective Bureau. In the past fourteen years I have worked closely with The Cook County States Attorneys Office in investigating and preparing cases for felony prosecution. The majority of the cases in the past six years have been in Homicide Investigations.
