Photography internship via the Disney College Program. Responsibilities include taking photos of guests at various park locations, assisting guests with their own cameras and questions, encouraging guests to view their photos, along with editing and selling photographs.
For the short film, "Control". Wrote the script, auditioned actors, found sets, designed sets, scheduled shoots, directed the crew, and directed the actors through the course of filming.
Assisted the full-time cooks in their daily tasks. Responsibilities included prepping and cooking food, cleaning up in the kitchen, delegating tasks to the students assigned to help in the kitchen, serving food to the football team, and assisting with catering events.
Assisted the Art Director on the film "Ripped!". Work included preparing costumes and helping actors prepare for set, assisting with makeup, planning sets, finding props for sets, assembling sets, and assisting with lighting for the sets. Also served as an extra in the film when needed.
Duties included assisting in the kitchens, serving food to students and cleaning up after them, washing dishes, and helping prep for the next day's meals.
Part of the Disney College Program- Summer Alumni. Merchandise Hostess in Goofy's Candy Company, located in Downtown Disney. Helped guests by giving them directions, ringing up their merchandise, and keeping the store show-ready. In the kitchen, prepared a variety of candy treats and special orders from the guests, cleaned fruit, made cotton candy, caramel apples and candy apples. In the morning, helped unpack shipment boxes and keep track of stock.
Part of the Disney College Program. Positioned on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom park. Primarily, sold merchandise, jewelry, art, and confectionary treats. Also handled money, assisted in closing registers and delivering money to the counting room securely. Provided park guests with information and assistance, assisted in crowd control during parade and fireworks, stocked shops and ran packages to Guest Services, helped open and close stores, sized and set watches, and ran sewing machines to embroider hats. Worked in the candy shop to make cotton candy and serve food.
Student apprentice to the photography department. Duties included shadowing both photographers and the resident videographer on their assignments; going out and taking photos and videos solo; publishing any work on the student apprentice website and in the Free Press; and learning about editing, and how a professional paper functions in the media department. Also studied article and column writing, along with copy editing.
Primary position was stage manager for shows for the Grosse Pointe Performing Arts Center and various schools. Oversaw rehearsals and performances, was in charge of the crew and making sure everything on stage functioned properly, made sure everything was on schedule on and off stage, made sure the actors were ready and had everything they needed, and made sure everything was cleaned and stored after shows.
Also did miscellaneous stage crew when short-staffed, which included running errands, putting microphones on actors, running sound checks, and running follow spots.
Organized and ran the Parent Teacher Organization newsletter. Put out deadlines for the teachers and staff, took photos of special events, edited articles, formatted the newsletter, sent the newsletter to the printer, and distributed to all the classes. Known for being the only student member of the PTO.
Extracurricular activities included Stage Manager for Grosse Pointe South Thespian Society; Photo Editor and primary photographer for "Tower" Newspaper, and member of the Rotary club.
