I am a person in Recovery for mental health and substance use disorder. I am a voice for others who are suffering from this illness, and provide hope that recovery can and does happen. I meet individuals where they are at, guide and assist on their recovery path, while holding client with unconditional high regard and help to provide insight, inspiration, and model recovery.
I am registered on the Virginia Board of Counseling, and hold a CPRS Certification in Tennessee. Substance use affects all areas in life and each recovery path is personal. I focus on individualized, recovery-oriented, person-centered, and trauma-informed care. I support peers throughout their recovery journey by filling in the gap's and building bridge's where many peers may fall through the cracks; from pre-treatment, treatment, to transitioning within the recovery community, I provide outreach services, identify as a strong advocate, and assist with linkage for support services, as well as coordinating with community organizations who play an integral part of collaboration with the recovery process.
