Summary

I am a person in Recovery for mental health and substance use disorder. I am a voice for others who are suffering from this illness, and provide hope that recovery can and does happen. I meet individuals where they are at, guide and assist on their recovery path, while holding client with unconditional high regard and help to provide insight, inspiration, and model recovery.

I am registered on the Virginia Board of Counseling, and hold a CPRS Certification in Tennessee. Substance use affects all areas in life and each recovery path is personal. I focus on individualized, recovery-oriented, person-centered, and trauma-informed care. I support peers throughout their recovery journey by filling in the gap's and building bridge's where many peers may fall through the cracks; from pre-treatment, treatment, to transitioning within the recovery community, I provide outreach services, identify as a strong advocate, and assist with linkage for support services, as well as coordinating with community organizations who play an integral part of collaboration with the recovery process. Credentialed from Experiential knowledge, and hold International Certification.

Education and knowledge to ensure regulations and rights of (42 CFR Pt. 2 and HIPPA) are enforced.

Proficient with written and oral communication, documentation, and computer skills including EMR, and CSMD.

Skilled in development of individual recovery plans. Identify need and provide linkage to recovery services and resources.
