Professional Summary

I migrated from the spice islands of Trinidad and Tobago to the United States in 2012 and even though Trinidad is not recognize as a large country, I started my career as a tradesman with various skillsets there. Before migrating to the states in 2012, I served six years in the Trinidad and Tobago military to further develop discipline, work ethic and launch a career in the criminal justice field. Presently I work as a peace officer for a Coop in Manhattan that holds a seven block jurisdiction in midtown New York City. I am skilled at looking for unusual and suspicious activities, persons and responding to calls for service. Adept at interrogating and communicating with victims, witnesses and suspects while providing scene security and protection for emergency services personnel. Methodical peace officer with multiple years' experience in enforcing state laws, federal laws and city codes according to departmental policies, procedures and regulations. Proven skills with excellent problem-solving capabilities. Skilled at investigating crimes and accidents while identifying and preserving evidence. Multi-talented and consistently rewarded for success in planning and operational improvements. Experience in policy development and staff management procedures positively impacting overall morale and productivity. Excellent reputation for resolving problems, improving customer satisfaction, and driving overall operational improvements. Eager to apply abilities to dynamic new position.

Throughout my career I have always been in leadership roles especially as a soldier. I have supervised soldiers on patrol and also as a senior officer I have conducted training exercises on how to safely use and carry firearms. Although it might seem like my experiences have a lot of physicality, I am also computer literate and continue to develop these skills as I am aware that technological advances is needed in the future of policing with computers being the driving force.
